Twin Lakes Gun Works is the best place in the country to get your tired, worn out, dried out, tar coated or just plain cruddy rifle stocks.  We have worked on stock sets from AK's and all the variations, the Mosin Nagant 91/30 and M44, the Spanish Cetme, the Czech VZ and the Finnish Suomi.  We also know when a stock shouldn't be touched, should be kept in its present condition to save its collector value.  We always reserve the right to tell you that we should leave your gun alone!

Before working on the wood, we remove all the metal and then carefully clean and sand smooth the wood without removing the dings and carvings that some soldier added to the life of that combat rifle.  The metal is cleaned of all rust and crud and then reblued to add a nicer touch to the final finish of your stock set.

We then stain the sets using factory colors, red walnut and oak, and mahagony before applying a final finish.  Twin Lakes uses low gloss tung oil, semi gloss polyurethane and high gloss spar varnish to seal in the color and protect the wood for years of use and, at the same time, improve the looks and value of your military gun.

TLGW is a federally licensed weapons transfer agent providing local and nation-wide dealer to dealer transfers.  All gun transfers are done for a flat fee of $25.00.  FBI background checks are required for long guns.  Wisconsin Department of Justice conducts background checks for hand gun transfers.  There is a 48-hour wait period required for handgun transfers in Wisconsin.
